So long and thanks for all the memories

Thu Jul 24, 2008, 7:26 PM
So a few weeks ago now I left a big part of my internet life behind and I've found myself more apt at drawing whatever I want whenever I want, but I lack the courage/ability to post said things. I've really enjoyed drawing, but have yet to post anything more than a simple commission.

Why? I dunno really. I feel sorta dirty having left that place behind, and yet so much more free. And I think it's in that freedom that I feel the most secure. But therein lies the problem, the security of freedom is a blanket only held between freedom and posts :P IE I'm a lazy slacker someone beat me with a fish and make me put up something.

I just wish it was something worth looking at.

Ally....you know I look at your stuff. I may not comment, but half the time I don't have much more to say than how awesome it is...which doesn't really count as much of a comment, but you're my friend. I've known you for so long, you're like a sister to me. And if I have to be the one to beat you with a fish, I'll make it a fish pillow so it don't hurt so much. ^^ Then I'll look at your art. If it makes you feel better, I'll go and fav everything. ^^ You kow I love your art.

If you drew it, it's worth looking at.

No matter what your style, subjects, mediums, or skill, art is art. Just because some might reject it because of something doesn't make it any less, "art" than something else.

I'd say post it all, honestly. The whole point of being an artist is to be able to create what you want, so you might as well chuck the need for acceptance from others, cause you'll never get it all the time, anywhere, anyways, so it's best to just accept yourself and have that be enough.

It doesn't matter what it is it's your art and your way of expressing yourself. Put it up, I would love to see it!

I'll just shake a fish instead of hitting you with one. XD:shakefish:

Half the stuff I post is all from my heart. Self expression is like the transition from a dictatorship to a freedom: it may be a little hard to get used to, and it may be a bit chaotic, but the outcome is full of epic win.

ya...
